healthy snack go-to’s

These are my favorite healthy snacks that keep me energized and satisfied. As a former soccer and volleyball player, I know how important a yummy but healthy snack is for fuel. Check out my favs below:

Snacks

Purely Elizabeth Granola

Omg y’all, I stumbled upon this granola in Whole Foods one day and I am addicted. I have tried 3 different flavors and every single one is so good. Also, the macros are great-6-7g of sugar per serving! That is amazing compared to other granolas. Trust me, this granola is amazing and you will not regret buying any of the flavors. I put the granola in my smoothie bowls, greek yogurt, and just to snack on. My favorite one is the Pumpkin Cinnamon, but all of them are so good! The ones I’ve tried are linked to the right-go check them out—->

Almond Butter Banana Toast

Alright, this one’s pretty basic, however it is sooo good. I always have this before a hard workout. Take some Dave’s Killer Bread, half a banana, honey, and almond butter. First, toast the bread to your liking. Then, lather on the almond butter and about a teaspoon of honey. Top with cold slices of banana. This is the perfect pre-workout snack because it has some quick carbs, some protein to fuel your recovery, and some fat to keep you satiated. You won’t be disappointed. Barebells Protein Bars

If you haven’t heard of these, I’m sorry because these are the BEST protein bars on the market right now. I have tried probably 10 different brands of protein bars and most of them taste chalky and stiff. However, Barebells could not be farther from that. They literally taste like a candy bar and the macros are amazing. 20g of protein and 0g of added sugars?! They have a nice crunch but are also moist and chewy. I swear by these y’all. The chocolate dough is my favorite, but I’ll link some other ones as well—->

David Protein Bars

These are my second favorite protein bars. They are definitely more stiff and chalkier than Barebells, but I would still grab them as a snack or meal. The macros for these are definitely better with a whopping 28g of protein and 0g of added sugar. Highly recommend. My favorite flavor is Fudge brownie because I love chocolate but the Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough is also pretty good. Links—->

Ucan Bars

Before my soccer practices and games, there was a good chance you would catch me devouring these bars. They taste so good! These are definitely for you if you need a quick boost of energy before a workout. They do not keep you full for very long (only 4g of protein) but they will definitely make you energetic for a while. They taste like a chewy chocolate candy bar. Link—->

Protein Powders

I would consider myself an expert on protein powder at this point. As someone who grew up with an almond mom and athletic brothers, protein powders have been around me forever. I like whey protein powder from Ascent and Momentous (Stacy Sims’ brand, go watch her podcasts!) and I like Arbonne Protein Powder. Ascent and Momentous are whey protein powders and are great for overall health and building muscle. Arbonne protein powder is not whey and has more sugar in it, but it tastes really good. I will link them beside—->
